Single Dental Implants Abroad

A single dental implant abroad costs around £450–£1,000 including the crown, compared with £2,000–£3,500 in the UK. It’s the most natural way to replace one missing tooth — without touching the teeth either side.

What a single implant involves

A single implant replaces one missing tooth: a titanium post is placed in the jaw, left to heal and fuse with the bone, then topped with a custom crown. Unlike a bridge, it doesn’t rely on grinding down the neighbouring teeth, and unlike a denture it’s fixed and permanent.

When you need a bridge instead

Implants aren’t always the answer. Where bone is very limited, or several adjacent teeth are missing, a bridge or implant-supported bridge may be more appropriate. We and the clinic will give you the honest options rather than defaulting to the most expensive.

The procedure and healing

Placement is a short, routine procedure under local anaesthetic. The implant then heals over a few months before the crown is fitted — so a single implant abroad usually means one trip for placement and a second short trip (or sometimes local fitting) for the crown.

Frequently asked questions

How much is one dental implant abroad?

About £450–£1,000 including the crown, versus £2,000–£3,500 in the UK.

Is a single implant or a bridge better?

An implant replaces the tooth without affecting its neighbours and preserves the jawbone, so it’s usually the better long-term choice. A bridge can be better where bone is very limited — we’ll give you the honest options.

How long does a single implant take?

Placement is quick, but the implant needs a few months to heal before the crown is fitted — typically one trip for placement and a short second visit for the crown.
